DP Seals manufactures mouldings for its clients in everything from small irregular batches through to 500,000 units per month every month. Every customer receives that same high level of service and DP Seals’ uncompromising quality control; in fact, most clients visiting our Poole-based factory for the first time are so impressed they rarely leave without placing an order - so that must say something!
Tooling
Whether producing multi-cavity tools for mass production or one-off tools for prototypes, our busy in-house tool room benefits from the latest technology. The direct link between our design centre and tool room CNC machinery eliminates errors introduced between client drawing and custom tool.
State-of-the-art vertical machining centres (VMC) and advanced CNC lathes augment our advanced spark erosion and wire cutting capabilities, together with our existing all-CNC VMCs, lathes and mills.

Production
From a simple o-ring to a complex multi-part rubber-to-metal bonded product, DP Seals is justifiably proud of its production area. We operate a full range of presses capable of anything from initial prototype runs to mass production. This flexibility enables us to integrate with your Kanban and JIT-enabled processes.
We recently installed two major new presses that take tooling significantly larger than our other presses, allowing us to manufacture larger, more complex mouldings as well as increase batch sizes for high volume components.

Product cleaning
Our fully-automated CNC-controlled cryogenic de-flashing machines - some of the most advanced of their kind in the world - have made the essential cleaning process faster, more efficient and more effective than ever.
These are two of the six product-specific cleaning systems installed at DP Seals designed to ensure our output is free from flashing and defects.

ISO 9001:2008 Quality - and more...
We regard our TQM approach to quality control as second to none and DP Seals was one of the first custom rubber moulding companies in the UK to achieve ISO 9001 accreditation. This was soon followed by ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001. In 2009 we added top aerospace manufacturing accreditation AS 9100, and in 2010 BAE Systems approval to the list.
These standards are strictly enforced and monitored by our dedicated quality team.
