Chlorosulfonated polyethylene is noted for its resistance to chemicals, temperature extremes, and ultraviolet light, in paricular:
- outstanding oxygen, ozone and weather resistance
- excellent resistance to corrosive chemicals, oils and grease
- excellent abrasion resistance, tensile and elongation over a very wide temperature range.
